THE GOALS
First Period
1-0 Blades at 2:13 - Egor Sidorov (35), assisted by Trevor Wong & Easton Armstrong (PP) // Wong sent a cross-ice pass to the top of the right circle, and Sidorov one-timed it past Huet to give the Blades a 1-0 lead early in the opening period.
Second Period
2-0 Blades at 18 seconds - Easton Armstrong (22), assisted by Brandon Lisowsky // Lisowsky won a battle behind the Pats net and he passed it to Armstrong who let a wrist shot go that snuck inside the post to give Saskatoon a 2-0 lead early in the second period.
2-1 Pats at 3:10 - Kolten Bridgeman (1), unassisted // Bridgeman pinched deep into the Blades zone and the puck caromed around beside the net and bounced out front where Bridgeman happened to be, and he banged home his first career goal to get the Pats on the board, down 2-1.
3-1 Blades at 4:32 - Brandon Lisowsky (23), assisted by Fraser Minten // Minten picked the pocket of a Pats player in their zone, and passed the puck to Lisowsky in the slot where he ripped it past Huet to restore the Blades' two-goal lead at 3-1.
4-1 Blades at 11:09 - Misha Volotovskii (5), assisted by Tanner Molendyk & Ben Saunderson // Moledyk's shot was wide of the Pats net but the puck bounced to Volotovskii who put the puck off the post, and off a defenceman's leg and in to extend the lead to 4-1.
Third Period
5-1 Blades at 4:11 - Rhett Melnyk (3), assisted by Ben Saunderson & Tanner Molendyk // With the Blades net empty on a delayed penalty to the Pats, Melnyk deflected Saunderson's shot past Huet to extend the lead to 5-1.
