Black Wolves Welcome in Seals: 6 Things to Know

On Sunday, Reilly O'Connor had two goals and an assist for three points while Callum Crawford had one goal and two assists in New England's 13-8 loss to the Rochester Knighthawks. Nick Chaykowsky had his first goal of the season in the loss and added one assist as well as six loose ball pickups.

In their first season, the San Diego Seals are 9-4, leading the Western Division and have already clinched a playoff spot. The Seals have four players with 50 or more points and are led by Garrett Billings, who has 64 points on 15 goals and 49 assists. Dan Dawson has 61 points (21 goals, 40 assists), rookie Austin Staats has 59 (31 goals, 28 assists) and former Black Wolf Kyle Buchanan has 58 points on 24 goals and 34 assists.

Reilly O'Connor has set new single-season career-highs in goals with 23 and total points with 59. In the loss to Rochester on Sunday, he tied his career-high of 36 assists.

In three games in a Black Wolves uniform, Joe Resetarits has 10 points with six goals and four assists. On Sunday, he had two goals In Philadelphia on March 23, he assisted on the first goal scored in the game and had three goals through the third and fourth quarters. In Vancouver, he kicked off his first game as a member of the franchise in style, scoring 3:32 into the first quarter. He also had two assists in that loss.

The Black Wolves offense has been clicking on all cylinders. Four members of the team are currently ranked in the top 25 in points, with forward Callum Crawford tied for fourth in points with 85. Stephan Leblanc is 10th with 70 points, Tyler Digby is 13th with 67 points and Reilly O'Connor is tied for 22nd with 59 points.

With a victory on Saturday and Philadelphia and Rochester losses on Saturday, the Black Wolves would be playoff bound for the fourth-consecutive season. Buffalo, Toronto and Georgia have already clinched postseason berths.
