
Black Wolves Trade for Tinney

UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The New England Black Wolves traded a second round selection in the 2021 NLL Entry Draft to the Georgia Swarm in exchange for Joel Tinney.
Selected 18th overall in the 2018 NLL Entry Draft, Tinney saw action in five games for the Swarm last season. The forward had five points - one goal and four assists - to go along with 20 loose balls.
"Joel is someone we had our eye on last year at the draft," Black Wolves general manager Rich Lisk said. "He is extremely athletic, has a great first step and has a great shot. We look forward to getting Joel in camp and welcome him to the Pack!
At Johns Hopkins, Tinney was the fastest midfielder in Blue Jay history to reach 30 goals. A two-time All-American, he closed out his career with 119 points on 68 goals and 51 assists to go along with 107 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers. He served as team captain during his senior season.
