
Black Wolves to Host Fan Fest

UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The New England Black Wolves will host a Fan Fest at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, December 17th to kick off the 2017 National Lacrosse League season. Admission is free to the public who bring a canned food item benefiting the New London Community Meal Center.
Fan Fest will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a special ceremony unveiling of the NLL's new logo, which is reflective of both the sport's rich history and its commitment to embrace new technology and digital media that will signal the future of sports viewing. League commissioner Nick Sakiewicz along with other league dignitaries will be on hand for the unveiling, which will happen in front of the Mohegan Sun Arena Box Office.
Following the announcement, the entire Black Wolves roster will be on hand on the Mohegan Sun Arena Shops Concourse for an autograph session. All fans are welcome to attend.
Doors to Mohegan Sun Arena will open at 6:30 p.m. and fans will be treated to a special basics of box lacrosse led by head coach Glenn Clark and assistants Jim Veltman and Tracey Kelusky from 7-7:30 p.m. before an interactive practice with the Black Wolves beginning at 8 p.m.
While the players are on the floor during practice, head coach Glenn Clark will be the stands answering fan questions. Select players will also be mic'd up during the event. Throughout the evening, fans will also have the opportunity to meet the Black Wolves mascot, Hunter, as well as members of The Howlers dance team and enjoy face painting and caricatures on the arena concourse.
The Black Wolves, East Division Finalists in 2016, will open the 2017 season in Rochester on January 7th and will return to Mohegan Sun Arena on January 28th against Buffalo at 7 p.m. Season tickets, mini plans and holiday packs are on sale now.
