New England Black Wolves News Release
UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The New England Black Wolves have signed James Fahey to a one-year contract, pending league approval.
A 6-foot-2 defenseman, Fahey saw action in 11 games in the MLL this summer, eight for the Atlanta Blaze and three for the Boston Cannons. He had three goals, one assist and seven ground balls on the season while causing one turnover.
"We are very excited to get James into camp and get him competing against NLL caliber guys," Black Wolves general manager Rich Lisk said. "James is the prime example of what we are trying to do in the NLL. He went to an open combine in Philadelphia, excelled there, got noticed, and earned a spot in our camp. He is a big, strong defender and we feel his skills will transfer nicely into the NLL."
A 2014 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Fahey ranked first in the CAA in caused turnovers per game at 1.54 as a senior and set personal-bests with 31 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers. He participated in the USILA North-South All-Star Game as well as the NEILA East-West Senior Game that same year.
Tickets for the 2018-19 season start at just $15 and are on sale now. For more information or to purchase, visit BlackWolves.com or call 844-LAX-WOLF.
