
Black Wolves Head to Buffalo for 1st Round of NLL Playoffs Presented by Michelob Ultra

LAST TIME OUT
Last Saturday, Callum Crawford had a career-high seven goals to go along with two assists to lead the Black Wolves to a 14-12 win at the Rochester Knighthawks to close out the regular season. Stephan Leblanc had one goal and five assists and Reilly O'Connor added five helpers in the win for New England.
SCOUTING BUFFALO
Dhane Smith led the Bandits with 102 points on the season with 32 goals and 70 assists in 16 games. He was followed by Shawn Evans with 94 points on 28 goals and 66 helpers while Corey Small had 74 on 36 goals and 38 assists. In goal, Matt Vinc has a 14-2 record on the year with a 10.02 goals against average and 705 saves with a 80.3% save percentage. His goals against average lead the league during the regular season and his save percentage was second.
PLAYOFF HISTORY
For the fourth consecutive season, the Black Wolves are in the NLL Playoffs. In 2018, New England fell in Rochester 15-11 while they fell to Toronto 18-10 in 2017. In 2016, the Black Wolves defeated Georgia 14-13 in the East Division Semifinals before falling to Buffalo 20-15 in the East Division Final.
MISTER 100
With his nine points on Saturday, Callum Crawford had 109 points on the season. It is just the second 100 point season of his career, trailing only the 115 points he had while with the Colorado Mammoth in 2016. Crawford had 48 goals on the season, a new career-high in a season. His previous best was 36, also with Colorado in 2017. His total points was second in the league and his goals led the league.
CAREER-HIGH SEASON
In Rochester on April 27, Doug Jamieson set a new career high in saves for the Black Wolves, recording 55 against the Knighthawks while also facing a career-high 67 shots. On the season, Jamieson had a 6-6 record with a 12.28 goals against average and a 78.4% save percentage. He also had 520 saves and all categories were career-highs for the young netminder.
NEW FRANCHISE RECORD
The Black Wolves set a new franchise record for goals in a half with 13 goals in the first half in the game against the Seals on April 6 at Mohegan Sun Arena. The NLL record for most goals scored in a half is 16, accomplished twice, by Montreal in the 2001 and 2002 seasons.
