LAST TIME OUT
Last Friday, the Black Wolves fell to the Toronto Rock 13-12 at Scotiabank Arena. Stephan Leblanc led New England with eight points on two goals and six assists and Callum Crawford had four points on two goals and two assists.
PLAYOFF BERTH CLINCHED
For the fourth year in a row, the New England Black Wolves will be playing playoff lacrosse. The Black Wolves join the Swarm as the only team that has made the playoffs four years in a row.
NEW FRANCHISE RECORD
The Black Wolves set a new franchise record for goals in a half with 13 goals in the first half in the game against the Seals on April 6 The NLL record for most goals scored in a half is 16, accomplished twice, by Montreal in the 2001 and 2002 seasons.
INSTANT IMPACT
In five games in a Black Wolves uniform, Joe Resetarits has 20 points with 10 goals and 10 assists. He had two goals In Philadelphia on March 23, he assisted on the first goal scored in the game and had three goals through the third and fourth quarters. In Vancouver, he kicked off his first game as a member of the franchise in style, scoring 3:32 into the first quarter. He also had two assists in that loss.
THE EMALA IMPACT
The rookie from Baltimore had a career day on against San Diego on April 6 with his first career NLL hat trick. Emala added an assist to have four total points. He now has six goals in six games played in 2019.
SPREADING THE WEALTH
The Black Wolves offense has been clicking on all cylinders. Three members of the team are currently ranked in the top 25 in points, with forward Callum Crawford third in points with 97. Stephan Leblanc is ninth with 84 points and Tyler Digby is 23rd with 69 points.
