New England Black Wolves News Release
UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The New England Black Wolves announced today that the club has acquired veteran forward Jordan Dunston from the New York Riptide in exchange for Ryan Fournier, Myles Jones and the 24th pick in the upcoming 2019 NLL Draft. The deal is pending league approval.
Durston, a 25-year-old forward who played last season for the Buffalo Bandits, was acquired by the Riptide when he was selected 2nd overall in the 1st round of the NLL Expansion Draft on July 9. Durston saw action in 18 games for the Bandits last season. The left-handed forward tallied 47 points, including 15 goals. In the postseason, he totaled six points in four playoff games.
"First, I'd like to thank Ryan Fournier for everything he has done for the organization. It is always hard making trades like this but sometimes you have to give up a piece to gain a piece. We are extremely excited to have Jordan join us in New England. He is a proven left-handed scorer who adds grit and lacrosse IQ. We are eager to see him mesh with our offense."
A native of Wallaceburg, Ontario, Durston brings playoff experience to New England, after advancing to last year's NLL championship. He has tallied 193 points through 71 games of action over his career. He was drafted in 2016 by Vancouver after capturing back-to-back Minto Cup wins with Six Nations.
Tickets for the 2019-20 season will start at $19 per game. In addition, special on-field experiences are available for groups of 10 or more. Tickets can be purchased by visiting blackwolves.com or calling 844-LAX-WOLF.?
