
Black Hawks Fall To Lancers

Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
The Waterloo Black Hawks hockey team had an opportunity on Tuesday night to make a move in the USHL's Eastern Division Standings. With a victory the Black Hawks could of moved four points ahead of the Green Bay Gamblers for fourth place in the East and move within two points of Danville for third place. River City stopped Waterloo's offense on their way to the 3-1 win. Here's a recap of that contest:
Tuesday January 27, 2004- River City 3 Waterloo 1
The Lancers jumped out to a 2-0 lead just eight minutes into the contest on a pair of even strength goals. The game remained 2-0 after one. In the second period Waterloo got on the board on a Mike Radja (Yorkville, IL) break away goal to cut the Lancer lead in half. River City held a 2-1 lead after two. Waterloo trailed 2-1 until late in the contest when the Lancers Corey Carlson added an empty net goal to send River City to the 3-1 win. Kevin Regan (South Boston, MA) stopped 19-21 in net for the Hawks.
Next up for Waterloo is Friday night when the Hawks host the Sioux Falls Stampede in a 7:05 PM face-off at Young arena before heading to Sioux City to take on the Musketeers on Saturday. The Black Hawks Box Office will be open Wednesday and Thursday 11:30-5:30 and Friday 11:30- game time.
