TODAY'S GAME:

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons host the Pawtucket Red Sox in the finale of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The PawSox have won the first three games of the set by scores of 4-2, 4-1 and 7-6. After tonight's game, the Bisons will welcome in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees for a four-game series. Buffalo is 25-28 at home this season.

VS. THE RED SOX:

The Bisons are winless in their last seven games against Pawtucket and only 2-9 against the Red Sox this season. Six of the last seven defeats have come by three runs or less. Buffalo has been outscored 58 to 33 in 11 games against Pawtucket this season.

BATISTA ON THE BUMP:

RHP MIGUEL BATISTA will make his third start as a Bison tonight. In his last outing, Batista went 3.2 innings and allowed six runs (5 earned) at Syracuse on July 20. He started the 2011 season with the St. Louis Cardinals where he was 3-2 and made 26 appearances before being released in late June. Since then he has made four appearances with the Herd and has recorded a 8.68ERA.

VETERAN PITCHING:

Tonight RHP MIGUEL BATISTA will face off against Pawtucket's RHP KEVIN MILLWOOD. Together, the two have combined for 258 Major League wins. Batista, who broke into the bigs in 1992, has played 17 seasons and won a World Series Championship with Arizona in 2001. Millwood was a National League All-Star with Atlanta in 1999 and led the American League with a 2.86ERA in 2005 with Cleveland.

Mr. VP:

INF VALENTINO PASCUCCI has 18RBI in 11 games since the break. The slugger now has 68RBI on the season and now stands at the top of the International League. Pascucci also leads the IL with 56 walks and is fourth with a .388 on-base percentage. In 161 career games as a Bison, Pascucci has 31 home runs and 105RBI.
