IronPigs Game Notes
July 25, 2011 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The first-place IronPigs (59-43) play the finale of a four-game series against the West's first-place Columbus Clippers (64-38) -- the top team in the International League... With a 4-0 win last night, the Pigs have now won three of their last four games after a four-game losing streak -- and remain just 1.0 game ahead in the North Division over Pawtucket^. The Pigs are just 18-19 since June 16, but still remain 49-32 since starting 10-11 (through April 28)... The Clippers -- Cleveland's top affiliate -- have lost four of their last five games and, over a longer stretch, are just 7-11 in their last 18 affairs. Still, Columbus has the third most wins in MiLB trailing only Double-A San Antonio (67-32) and Advanced-A San Jose (67-33).
RHP Nate Bump (2-6, 5.88) will start for LHV against RHP Corey Kluber (4-6, 6.09).
First-Pitch tonight is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Next up for the Pigs is another showdown vs. second-place Pawtucket -- a four-game series Tuesday-Friday.
