TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in the first of a two-game series at Alliance Bank Stadium in Syracuse, NY (7:00 p.m.). The Bisons are coming off a 2-1 series win against the Chiefs in this same ballpark. This weekend series will conclude the first half of the Bisons season.

vs. YANKEES: The Bisons are 3-4 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season. This will be the second time the Herd has faced the Yankees this year as the road team. Buffalo was the visiting team as the clubs split a four-game set at Coca-Cola Field, May 24-27. This series is being played in Syracuse because of the construction of the Yankees new ballpark and the planning for the 25th Annual Triple-A All-Star Game back in Buffalo.

OLSON : LHP GARRETT OLSON is the third consecutive Bisons pitcher to make their league-high 18th start of the season (Harvey, Familia). Olson is coming off a loss on Monday against Durham as the southpaw allowed three runs in five innings of work. The veteran has allowed three runs or less in three straight starts and five of his last seven outings since June 2.

SILKY: INF JOSH SATIN had a hit and three more walks last night. In 16 games since June 21, Satin is hitting .379 (22-58) with three doubles, a triple, four home runs and 11RBI. During that same stretch, the infielder in second among all International League hitters with 14 runs scored and a .507 on-base percentage. For the season, Satin sports a team-best .384 on-base percentage.

HURTIN' HERD: The Bisons placed RHP JACK EGBERT on the disabled list yesterday with a lower back strain. He becomes the 13 different Buffalo player to spend time of the DL this year (15 total trips). All told, the Bisons have lost 400 man-games to injury this season.

BISONS BITS: INF JOSH RODRIGUEZ has back-to-back multi-hit performances. He's collected seven multi-hit efforts in just 14 total games for the Herd this season...INF BRAD EMAUS has hit in four straight games. Since June 29, he has averaged .421 (8-19) with three doubles and four RBI.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (45-39) fell in defeat to the Cubs last night by an 8-7 score. Former Bisons INF JORDANY VALDESPIN and OF LUCAS DUDA both homered in the defeat. INF JUSTIN TURNER was a perfect 4-4 at the plate as well. New York hosts Chicago again today at 4:10 p.m. at Citi Field.
