Bisons Activate Jack Egbert, Place Chuck James on DL

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP JACK EGBERT has cleared waivers and accepted his assignment to the Bisons. Egbert will be active an available for tonight's series finale in Columbus against the Clippers (7:05 p.m.)

The Bisons also announced that LHP CHUCK JAMES has been placed on the disabled list with left shoulder tendinitis, retroactive to June 6.

Egbert is 2-3 with a 2.08ERA in 17 appearances with Buffalo this season (26.0IP, 17K). He had his contract selected by the Mets on May 25 and pitched in one game with New York. On May 28 against the Phillies, Egbert retired a pair of batters in Philadelphia's 8-4 victory.

James was 0-1 with a 4.29ERA in 17 appearances with the Bisons (21.0IP, 21K).
