
Bishop and Reaves Receive Qualifying Offers

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Monday that the club has given qualifying offers to Ben Bishop and Ryan Reaves.
Bishop, 24, played in 35 games for the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate Peoria Rivermen last season, compiling a record of 17-14-2 including a 2.55 goals against average, .914 save percentage as well as two shutouts. The, 6'7", 215-pound goaltender also appeared in seven games for the Blues posting a 3-4-0 record including a 2.76 goals against average and a .899 save percentage. A native of St. Louis, Bishop was originally drafted by the Blues in the third round, 85th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Reaves, 24, made his NHL debut last season with the Blues on Oct. 11 vs. Anaheim and scored his first goal on Jan. 12 at Anaheim. The 6'1", 225-pound forward played in 28 games, registering four points (two goals, two assists) along with 78 penalty minutes. Reaves also played in 50 games for the Rivermen last season recording 10 points (four goals, six assists) to go along with 146 penalty minutes. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Reaves was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 156th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
