Phantoms Celebrate 200 Appearances in 2010-11

The Adirondack Phantoms are celebrating an impressive achievement this week as they will reach 200 community appearances in the past year. Come join the fun this Thursday afternoon at the Glens Falls Civic Center Front Plaza from 4:30-5:30pm. Fans stopping by can get free hot dogs and snow cones with Head Coach Joe Paterson, Dax and members of the Phantoms staff. Phantoms prizes and giveaways will be part of the celebration as well.

The Phantoms have been very busy this past year in the community.Dax has been to Glens Falls Golden Eagles games, running the GOAL (Get Out and Live) program and helping at youth hockey practices with his trusty side kick Coach Joe Paterson.

Adirondack Phantoms players have been to schools to read, skateathons, a telethon and community establishments to raise money for charities.

The front office staff has been to numerous events through out the year to help promote the Adirondack Phantoms and the great family fun.

The numbers don't lie the Phantoms have been very busy during the 2010-11 season and continue to do as much as they can to promote hockey and see everyone in the community.

If you missed them during the march to 200 it isn't too late as the celebration starts at 4:30 pm on Thursday. Another option is to call them to come to your event during the 2011-12 season as the Phantoms go for 200 and beyond next year.

"We are extremely proud of our achievements in the community over the past year," said Andrew Hill, Director of Fun and Community Development. "We've touched so many people and helped support a number of great causes. So come have a hot dog with us as we celebrate our 200 appearances!"
