Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Not much went right for the Lookouts on Wednesday afternoon, as the Biscuits blanked Chattanooga, 9-0, at AT&T Field.

Montgomery's offense came swinging right out of the gate. Tyler Bortnick reached first on an error by shortstop Jake Lemmerman. After swiping second base, Bortnick scored the first run of the game on a Henry Wrigley single.

Greg Sexton hit an RBI double in the second inning, and Omar Luna contributed with a run-resulting sacrifice fly in the third frame to give Montgomery a 3-0 edge.

The Biscuits distanced themselves in the fourth inning by plating six runs. An RBI double by Wrigley and RBI singles from Brad Coon, Luna, and Michael Sheridan highlighted the big rally.

On the mound, Kyle Lobstein (2-2) pitched five shutout innings to pick up the win. He yielded three hits and five walks and notched seven strikeouts.

Montgomery relievers Scott Shuman and Neil Schenk followed Lobstein and continued the trend of quelling effusive cheering from anxious fans by shutting down the Lookouts' batters for the remainder of the game.

Allen Webster (1-5) took the loss for the Lookouts. In 3.1 innings of work, he surrendered nine runs (seven earned) on seven hits and two walks. He struck out three in the losing effort.

The Chattanooga Lookouts and Montgomery Biscuits will wrap-up their five-game series at 7:15 P.M., tomorrow. Tickets for this game or any other Lookouts home game can be purchased at the Lookouts Box Office at AT&T Field, online at www.lookouts.com, or by calling (423) 267-4849.
