
Bingham Nabs Player of the Week Honors

TUPELO, MS--The National Indoor Football League announced today that FireAnts safety Eric Bingham has been named the Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts against the Lake Charles LandSharks this past Saturday.
Bingham was responsible for two passes defended and seven total tackles, including one tackle for a loss. He also hauled in two interceptions for 69 yards and returned one of those picks for a touchdown as the âAnts went on to defeat Lake Charles 65-35.
"Eric obviously had an outstanding game," Head Coach Bobby Hall said. "His interception and return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter was the play of the game. I am proud for him and our team for this weekly accomplishment."
The FireAnts take on the Houma Bayou Bucks this Friday night at the BancorpSouth Center starting at 7:05pm. Kickoff is set for 7:05pm.
