
Bighorns Cruise To 106-77 Victory Over Springfield

RENO, Nev.- With a playoff berth still in the crosshairs, Reno turned-in a dominant defensive effort Sunday night to roll to a 106-77 victory over the Springfield Armor in the Reno Events Center.
After leading by five points at the break, the Bighorns (19-19) limited Springfield (6-31) to just 28 second-half points to cruise to the win. Reno held a 43-38 advantage on the boards, and converted 24 Armor turnovers into 23 points.
Desmon Farmer led all scorers with 24 points for the Bighorns, helped by five three-pointers. Rod Benson finished with 17 points and nine boards, while Doug Thomas turned in a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards.
Marcus Campbell paced four Springfield starters in double figures with 10 points. Campbell and Dante Milligan each collected a team-high eight rebounds.
Reno now hits the road for a date with Bakersfield on Tuesday before returning to the Biggest Little City in the World for four-straight. Tuesday's game is set for a 7 p.m. start in the Jam Events Center, and the action can be seen live on NBA Futurecast by visiting www.RenoBighorns.com.
