
Bighorns Acquire Gani Lawal

Reno, Nev. - Today, The Reno Bighorns completed a trade with the Westchester Knicks with the Bighorns acquiring forward Gani Lawal and the Knicks own original 2016 4th round draft pick in exchange for the returning player rights to Ra'shad James and Reno's own original 2016 6th round draft pick. The trade is pending the successful completion of a physical.
Lawal played with the Phoenix Suns during the 2010-11 season. The Suns selected Lawal in the second round with the sixteenth pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.
Lawal (6-9, 235, Georgia Tech) has most recently appeared in 17 games for Westchester this season, averaging 8.9 points on 54.3 percent shooting, 7.4 rebounds in 6.4 minutes of action. During Westchester's last contest (Sunday, Feb. 21), Lawal totaled 25 points and 17 rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench. He went 9-11 from the field during the Sunday Contest.
