Cary, NC: Coming off a big win over the previously undefeated Wilmington Sea Dawgs the night before, Big Texas rolled into Cary to try to continue its streak. For half of the first quarter, it looked like Big Texas might just do it. But, the Invasion unleashed a fury of offense through the second quarter to open the lead to nearly 20 points at the break. Big Texas mounted a run that closed the lead to 10 by early in the 4th quarter, but the Invasion blew open the game with a series of long 3-pointers and acrobatic dunks that kept the crowd entertained to the end. The lead swelled to as many as 34 points in the last quarter, and Cary won the game 115-88. It was the first home game for new Invasion point guard Brock Young (East Carolina) who had 9 assists in the game. Anton Currie (Toledo) had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Paul Wright (Mountain State) was the game's leading scorer with 22 points. Ron Beatty had 21 points in the losing effort for Big Texas. Cary out-rebounded Big Texas 43 to 30. Cary plays next vs. the PrimeTime Players in Cary at 7 pm on April 21st.
