
Big First Leads Muckdogs to Win

Niles, OH - The Muckdogs got back to winning ways on Wednesday night, led by a 3 run first and solid pitching from Victor Menocal and Justin Libey. The win was the Muckdogs fifth straight this season against Mahoning Valley.
The 'Dogs started the scoring in the first and never looked back. After the first two hitters struck out, the Muckdogs respondd with a hit batter, a walk and two straight singles. The last of the hits drove in 2 runs and was supplied by Kiel Fisher, who was playing his first game with the Muckdogs since his promotion from the Gulf Coast League.
Victor Menocal picked up the win, his first since rejoining the Muckdogs. Menocal allowed just 2 runs on 2 hits in 6 innings. Justin Libey went the final 3 and struck out 5 to record the save.
Four Muckdogs, Blalock, Headley, Bourn and Fisher, each had 2 hits as part of an 11 hit attack. Headley also stole his 9th base of the year.
The series continues Thursday night in Niles, with the first pitch coming at 7:05 PM.
