
Bells All Stars Announced

The West Coast League has announced the selections for the 2012 All-Star Game next Tuesday, July 24th at Borleske Stadium in Walla Walla, WA. Six Bellingham Bells players have been selected which include catcher Nate Causey, third basemen Andrew Ely, outfielder Jarel Lewis, pitchers Corey Carma, Sean Hartnett and Andrew Olson will all be playing for the East Division.
The Bells are extremely excited for these players and look forward to them representing the city of Bellingham next week. The All-Stars were chosen by a combination of fan voting, recommendations from Major League scouts and voting by West Coast League coaches. The two teams are comprised of 21 players from within their divisions. The East squad is highlighted by eight members from Kelowna, six from Bellingham and four from Wenatchee. Seven Corvallis players lead the West Division and will be joined by five players from Klamath Falls, four from Cowlitz, four from Bend and one from Kitsap.
The first pitch for the All Star game is scheduled for 7:35 in Walla Walla, which will be preceded by a Home Run Derby at 5:30.
