
Beez Is Back: New Mexico United Signs Midfielder Chris Wehan from Orange County SC

Albuquerque, NM - New Mexico United is thrilled to announce the signing and extension of midfielder Chris Wehan from Orange County SC. Wehan, a key member of the inaugural New Mexico United roster, United's second all-time leading scorer, all-time leader in assists, and Most Valuable Player in 2019 and 2020, rejoins the club and extends his contract through the end of the 2023 season.
"Chris is a foundational piece of our club, and he has unfinished business with us," said New Mexico United Head Coach and Technical Director Troy Lesesne. "I'm thrilled to have him back in the Black and Yellow and representing our state."
Wehan has played in 50 matches for United in all competitions, and scored the winning goal in the first playoff victory in New Mexico United history, against San Antonio FC in the first round of the 2020 playoffs. Wehan attended the University of New Mexico and led the Lobos, and earning all Conference USA honors in all four seasons.
