
Bees Visit Odessa

Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
HIDALGO, Texas - After a weekend of defeating national champs, Amarillo Bulls, the RGV Killer Bees are back in action to face the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The first game of the series will be on Friday, November 1 at 7:05 p.m. at Kay Yeager Coliseum. Game two will be on Saturday, November 2 at 7:05 p.m.
The Bees have a good head on their shoulders going into this weekend after a phenomenal 4-1 win against the Bulls. Assistant Captain Ben Greiner (Newport, Calif.) was honored South Star of the Week through his performance scoring a goal in both games. Forward JB Baker (Columbia, Md.) brought the team to victory in game two by scoring two goals during crucial parts of the competition.
Last time the Bees competed against the Wildcats, both games went into overtime, resulting into a split series. The Wildcats currently have a record of 10 - 3 - 3 and stand first in the division.
The Killer Bees have a record of 8 - 4 - 5. In the division the Bees are two points away from first place. Greiner leads the team in goals and Goalie Olli Kalkaja (Oulu, Finland) ranks seventh in the league in goalie leaders.
