Halloween Weekend Series against Wilderness

After a successful weekend in Johnstown, the Soo Eagles return home this weekend, as they face the Minnesota Wilderness, for the first time in franchise history, this Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m., at Pullar Stadium.

On Friday, the Soo Eagles and Kewadin Casino's will be hosting Halloween Skate and Treat. Among the special events planned that evening, include a skate with the Eagles, shoot on net with your favorite player, face painting, games, and player autographs. There will also be a Halloween Costume competition, judged in four age groups: infant-6 years, 7-11, 12-17 and adults.

On Saturday, War Memorial Hospital and the Soo Eagles will host Salute to the Local Heroes. Members and family of Fire, EMS, DHS, MDOC, Law Enforcement, as well as all Veterans with a valid ID card, will receive admission for just $5.00 per person. We also have the great staff of Aaron's coming out to give away a FREE Blu-ray player.

The Eagles currently are in a three-way tie with Springfield and Johnstown for 3rd place (7-6-3) with 17 points, in the North American Hockey League's North Division. The Wilderness are in 2nd place (9-2-3) in the NAHL's Midwest Division.

The Eagles are led in scoring by forward Ryan Urso, who has four goals and nine assists this season, and AJ Jarosz, who has collected three goals and nine assists on the season. Jacob McDowell is (8-3-11) and Brad Pung is (5-5-10).

The Wilderness are led is scoring by four players, who have tallied 10 points this season. They are Johno May (6-4-10), Billy Exell (6-4-10), Jakob Romo (3-7-10) and Thomas Lindstrom (3-7-10)

Soo Eagles goaltender Colin Brennan, who was named last week's North Division Player of the Week, carries a 4-2-0-2 record into this weekend's series, with a goals against average of 2.45 and a save percentage of .920. Paige Skoog is 3-4-0-1 with a GAA of 2.45 and a SVP of .923.

Kasimir Kaskisuo is 8-1-0-2 in net for Minnesota, with a goals against average of 1.25 and a save percentage of .949. Frank Oplinger is 1-1-0-1, with a GAA of 1.95 and a SVP of .941.
