
Bees sign two, waive two

Hidalgo, Texas --- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) today announced that the team has signed forward Mark O'Leary and offered forward Ted Bickel a tryout agreement. The Killer Bees also placed F/D Austen Corredato and F Paul DeJoe on waivers.
O'Leary, a 5-foot-10, 195-pound Owen Sound, Ontario, native played the last two seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Guelph Storm. He played the 2003-04 season with the Mississauga IceDogs. OveraLl, he appeared in 182 OHL games, compiling 51 points (18-33-51) and 242 PIM. O'Leary had been in training camp wit the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL) before signing with the Bees.
Bickel, 23, played the past three seasons at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. In 95 collegiate games, the 6-foot-3, 210-pounder had 35 goals and 38 assists with 88 penalty minutes. He was most recently in training camp with the Corpus Christi Rayz.
The Killer Bees open up their fourth season of CHL action on this Friday and Saturday night vs. the Arizona Sundogs.
