Bees set for opening weekend

Hidalgo, Texas --- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees open up their fourth season of Central Hockey League action this Friday and Saturday at Dodge Arena. Face off vs. the Arizona Sundogs is set for 7:35 p.m. both nights.

In celebration of opening weekend, there will be a pre and post-game party on both Friday and Saturday night in the Dewars 12 Lounge. Come by before and after the games for drink and appetizer specials. Killer Bees players will mingle with fans after Saturday night's contest.

Don't forget about some of the great game-night promotions in store this year; $1 beer every time the Bees score a power play goal; a free Jumbo Jack from Jack in the Box when the Bees score four or more goals at home; buy a game program for $1 and have a chance to win a new DVD player every time the Bees score a goal at home.

This weekend's games will be broadcast live on Jammin' 104.9/95.3 FM and also online at killerbeehockey.com. Saturday's game will also be live on Televisa XERV-9 (Cable 19).

And don't forget, the entire team will be at the Mercedes Corn Maize from 4-6 p.m. this Sunday. The Maize is open until December 2, and every paid admission gets a free Killer Bees ticket.
