
Becky Hammon Sidelined With ACL Tear

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio Silver Stars guard Becky Hammon sustained an ACL tear in her left knee during the second quarter of the game at Los Angeles on Saturday, July 6. An MRI performed in San Antonio confirmed the injury. Hammon will undergo surgery in San Antonio to repair the tear this week. A timetable for her return will be established once she begins her rehabilitation process.
Hammon ranked second in the WNBA in total assists (176), 3-point field goals made average (2.4) and total 3-point field goals made (80) last season. She missed the first 10 games of the 2013 season due to a broken middle finger suffered during training camp. Hammon played 12 minutes at Los Angeles prior to the injury recording two points, a rebound and an assist.
