Dayton Dragons News Release
DAYTON, Ohio â Beazer Homes and the Dayton Dragons teamed up to host a unique promotion over the course of the 2004 season where one lucky fan has the chance to win $150,000 towards the purchase of a new Beazer home.
The Dragons hosted team autograph sessions during "home run weekends" at different Beazer Model Homes locations throughout the 2004 season. Dragons fans were able to visit five different Beazer communities throughout the Miami Valley including: Sterling Green in Xenia, Walnut Grove in Beavercreek, Wolf Creek Run in Trotwood, Stanfield Place in Troy and Chapelgate in Fairborn.
For each home run hit at a Dragons game during a "home run weekend," a finalist's name was drawn from the entries submitted at the Beazer communities. The Dragons "went yard" 11 times at Fifth Third Field during the "home run weekends" in 2004, and 11 lucky people became finalists, with a chance to win the grand prize.
On Tuesday, September 21st, beginning at 5:30 PM, Beazer and the Dragons will host a grand prize ceremony at the Beazer Homes Chaplegate community in Fairborn, where one of the 11 will have the chance to win $150,000 towards the purchase price of a brand new Beazer home.
Each of the 11 finalist's will pull one key from a container filled with keys. Each finalist will use that key to try and unlock the door to a designated Beazer home. If their key unlocks the door, they win the $150,000 grand prize.
The "Key Pull" ceremony for the 11 finalists will take place at the Beazer Homes Chapelgate community in Fairborn, Ohio on Tuesday, September 21st. Festivities will kick off at 5:30 PM. The "Key Pull" begins at 6:00 PM.
