MUSKEGON, MI--After coming from behind to tie the score in the third period, the Danbury Trashers had to wait until 1:37 of the third overtime before finally prevailing over Muskegon, as David-Alexandre Beauregard knocked in a rebound past Nick Boucher to give the Trashers a 7-6 win over Muskegon and the series win in six games. Danbury faces Kalamazoo in the finals starting on Friday night.

The Trashers struck quickly as Jamie Thompson scored just 29 seconds in, followed by Danny Stewart's 2nd of the playoffs at the 7:29 mark. David Wrigley cut the lead in half with a goal at 15:42, but Stewart added a shorthanded goal at the 17:58 mark to extend Danbury to a 3-1 lead after the first.

Beauregard's first goal was at 2:20 of the second, followed by the Fury switching to netminder Boucher with the Trashers leading 4-1. Muskegon dominated the rest of the period with a pair of goals by Billy Collins and separate goals by Robin Bouchard and Jeff Nelson to give Muskegon a 5-4 lead heading into the third.

Beauregard tied the score at 5-5 with his second at the 5:00 mark, while Bouchard answered 1:53 later to regain the Fury lead. Drew Omicioli then tied the score with a power play goal at the 12:13 mark on helpers from Beauregard and Mike Omicioli's 3rd assist of the night.
