HERSHEY – The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with Clear Channel Radio that an agreement has been reached to broadcast all 80 regular season games plus all playoff games live on Clear Channel's all-sports radio stations.

Under a new agreement with Clear Channel, the BEARS will be heard beginning next season on both 1460 WTKT-AM and 1390 WLAN-AM. The stations are more commonly referred to as 1460/1390 "The Ticket". Both stations feature an all-sports format.

A key component of the new agreement is a new transmitter scheduled to go online in the next 60 days for 1460 WTKT-AM. The new tower will be able to transmit with 4,000 watts of power beginning mid-summer. The current transmitting wattage for WTKT-AM is 1,000 watts.

"We are thrilled to be a part of the Clear Channel family of stations, and to partner with stations that feature an all-sports format", said BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst. "Clear Channel has the presence and market share in central Pennsylvania that will give our fans the coverage they deserve."

John Walton returns for his third season behind the microphone this fall, calling the play-by-play of the AHL's most senior franchise.

"We are proud to have the local marquee sports franchise on our all-sports radio stations", said Clear Channel Harrisburg general manager Ron Roy. "I can't think of a better partnership than Clear Channel Radio and the HERSHEY BEARS".

The BEARS begin their 67th season in the American Hockey League in October, with the 2004-05 schedule due out in late July. Season tickets are on sale now by calling (717) 508-BEAR, with several different packages available.
