Bears, Healthfirst Present Silver Sluggers

(Newark, N.J., Aug. 30, 2010) - The Newark Bears and Healthfirst Health Plan of New Jersey have partnered to present "Silver Sluggers Tuesdays". Bear fans 55 and older are invited to come out the "Den" on Tuesday, August 31 and September 7 to cheer on their hometown team.
"We are very proud to partner with Healthfirst Health Plan, who also present our kids clinics, on a program that brings out the kid in our grown-up fans," said Bears General Manager Charlie Dowd.
Silver Sluggers is a promotional program designed by the Bears and Healthfirst Health Plan of New Jersey to get seniors 55 years or older out to enjoy an afternoon of baseball and fun at the ballpark. Seniors will receive discounted ticket rates to the upcoming Tuesday games and have an opportunity to participate in fun group activities throughout the game.
