Bears Announce Training Camp Roster

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Hershey Bears announced today the roster of players expected to participate in the beginning of the club's 2015 training camp. The announcement was made by Bears President/GM Doug Yingst.

All players who cleared their physicals on Sunday or previously at NHL camp are eligible for the Hershey Bears training camp. A total of 18 players will begin camp today, while several still remain with the Washington Capitals.

The roster consists of the following players and is current as of Monday morning, September 28:

GOALTENDERS (3): Mark Dekanich, Dan Ellis, Taran Kozun

DEFENSEMEN (6): Erik Burgdoerfer, Nick D'Agostino, Nick Jones, Joey Leach, Mike Moore, Bobby Shea

FORWARDS (9): Travis Boyd, Austin Fyten, Dustin Gazley, Caleb Herbert, Miles Koules, Garrett Mitchell, Maxime Sauve, Nathan Walker, Cole Wilson

IN WASHINGTON: Riley Barber, Chris Bourque, Madison Bowey, Chris Brown, Carter Camper, Paul Carey, Connor Carrick, Sean Collins, Christian Djoos, Stanislav Galiev, Tyler Lewington, Aaron Ness, Liam O'Brien, Zach Sill, Ryan Stanton, Chandler Stephenson, Vitek Vanecek, Jakub Vrana

Following three days of practice, the Bears will host the Albany Devils in the club's pre-season opener on Thursday, October 1 at 7:00 PM. The team will then play the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in Chocolatetown on Saturday, October 3 at 7:00 PM, wrapping up the short pre-season slate.

The 2015 training camp will be directed by Bears head coach Troy Mann, assistant coaches Bryan Helmer and Ryan Murphy and associate goaltending coach Scott Murray. Camp includes on-ice practice sessions, off-ice workouts, group meetings and the two-game pre-season slate. The entire camp is scheduled to be held at GIANT Center. All on-ice sessions are free and open to the public except where otherwise noted.
