NEWARK, NJ, June 7-This evening's Atlantic League game between the Newark Bears and the Long Island Ducks has been postponed due to poor weather conditions. The two teams will make the game up tomorrow afternoon as part of a double header, beginning at 1:35 PM.
Fans with tickets for today's scheduled game may exchange them for tickets to any other game on the Bears 2003 schedule. Exchanges may be made at the Bears box office at Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium. The Bears ticket office number is (973) 483-6900.
Right-hander Al Hawkins (1-2, 5.04) and right-hander Jose Lima (5-1, 2.11) will pitch for the Bears on Sunday. Long Island will counter with right-hander Bobby Rodgers (0-1, 32.40) and right-hander Mark Thompson (3-0, 2.13).
