Bayou Belles set to hold tryouts

Houma, LaâWith the successes on the field for the Bayou Bucks this season, the excitement has spilled over to all aspects the organization. In recent weeks, the Bucks have experienced an overwhelming amount of phone call concerning open tryouts for next year's Bayou Belles dance squad.
In order to meet this abundant demand, the Belles are tentatively scheduled to have open tryouts on September 18 and 19 at Renaissance Health Club, the official health club of the Bucks and Belles. Details about the tryouts are still being finalized and will be announced upon completion, so please refer to WWW.BAYOUBUCKS.COM for the latest information.
Bayou Bucks General Manger and Bayou Belles Coordinator Kris Suard went on to say, "The Bayou Belles did a fantastic job this season, and we are hoping to add young ladies that have superior dancing skills as well as a team work attitude." Suard also said "We also look for Belles that are from outside the tri-parish area. For example, last season we had dancers on the team that were from Hahnville, Patterson, and Chalmette."
The Bayou Belles provide entertainment during all Bayou Bucks home games as well choreographing and performing various halftime acts. "We look to the Belles as good will ambassadors to the community, which is one reason we are picking the squad earlier this season," Suard added.
The Bayou Bucks will play their final regular season contest this Friday at Tupelo against FireAnts. Tickets for the Bucks 2004 playoff campaign will be available to the public on July 3 at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center box office.
