Erie, Pennsylvania, Wednesday, November 23 - The Erie BayHawks, presented by LECOM, have set their opening night 10-man roster by releasing guard DJ Kennedy due to injury.
The team is traveling to Rio Grande Valley, Texas today and will open the 2011-12 season with games Friday and Saturday night versus the Vipers. Opening tip each night is set for 8 pm ET. Fans can watch the games live for free online on NBA Futurecast, available at ErieBayHawks.com, or listen to the play-by-play of Chris "Red" Hughes on AM 1330 The Fan (Friday's radio broadcast will be joined in-progress following the Cathedral Prep/Grove City football game.)
Tonight, fans can tune in to NBA TV at 9 pm ET for the NBA Development League Season Preview show. The show will include an interview with Allan Houston, BayHawks General Manager of Basketball Operations.
Erie's first home game is set for Thursday, December 1 at 7:00 pm at the Tullio Arena when the BayHawks face the Maine Red Claws. Opening Night features a spectacular halftime show as the world-renowned "Red Panda" will entertain fans with her amazing talents.
