BayHawks In Playoff Hunt

ERIE - The NBA Development League Erie BayHawks moved to within one game of first place in the Central Division and extended their win streak to three games with a back to back victories over the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The wins slot the BayHawks firmly in the playoff hunt.

The BayHawks will wrap up their current home stand, taking on division rival the Dakota Wizards Friday night at the Tullio Arena, tipoff is set for 7:00 PM. Erie Life Magazine will have a number of giveaways throughout the night and one lucky fan is guaranteed to win a car courtesy of Jay's Auto Wrecking.

Unique Playoff Format

Given the unique format for the NBA Development League playoffs, final placement is of critical importance. During the first round; the division winners and the top-seeded wildcard with the best record will host a single-elimination game. The division winners will choose their opponent from the wildcards with priority of selection based upon best overall record.

The second round of the playoffs is also a single game to narrow the playoff field to two teams that will square off in a three-game championship series.

The BayHawks will round out the weekend with a road trip to take on the Iowa Energy, Sunday, in another crucial division matchup.
