Erie BayHawks News Release
ERIE - The Erie BayHawks (2-4) dropped a nail biter to the Maine Red Claws (6-1) 81 - 77 at the Tullio Arena. Erie never trailed at the end of a quarter until the end, building a lead of as much as 13, but the Red Claws stormed back with a strong fourth quarter outscoring the BayHawks 29 - 17 in the final twelve.
Much of the Red Claws offense (45 points) was once again provided by NBA assigned players, including a game high 25 from the team's newest assignee, Celtic guard Lester Hudson. Fellow Celtic Bill Walker contributed 16 on the night.
Donell Taylor led all BayHawks scorers with 20 points, improving on a dismal shooting performance in the team's home opener. Jackie Manuel notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds on the night. Alade Aminu came off the bench to contribute 13 points and Cedric Jackson had 10 assists on the night.
The BayHawks and the Red Claws will wrap up their three game set tomorrow night in a 7 PM tipoff at the Tullio Arena. Fans can get a special Kwik Fill Customer Appreciation ticket offer with purchase at any Erie area Kwik Fill location.
