
BayHawks Blood Drive

Erie BayHawks News Release
ERIE - The Erie BayHawks are teaming with the Community Blood Bank of NWPA and WJET-TV to host a blood collection drive, Monday, February 15, from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Tullio Arena. ALL MEDIA ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.
Everyone who donates will receive a pair of tickets to the BayHawks Cavs Affiliate night, February 26 at the Tullio Arena and a custom designed T-Shirt to mark the event. Donors will also be eligible to win a pair of courtside seats for the game. The Cavs affiliate night game will feature the Cavaliers Girls dance team, Cavaliers mascot Moondog and the Scream Team hip hop dance team.
"We are pleased to work with the Community Blood Bank, because their efforts save lives right here in the Erie community every day," said BayHawks president Matt Bresee. "Cavs Affiliate night is such an exciting game for us, it seemed like the perfect reward for those folks who are willing to help family and friends by donating blood."
Who Can Donate
Anyone in good health, 17 years or older and weighing at least 110 pounds is eligible to donate blood. Donors will be asked a series of basic medical and lifestyle questions, along with temperature and blood pressure checks, prior to donating. Any person 16 years of age may also donate with parental permission.
NBA Development League The NBA Development League, founded in 2001, is the NBA's official minor league and features 16 teams with direct affiliations to NBA teams. The league has produced 15 percent of the players on 2007-08 end-of-season NBA rosters and continues to develop current NBA coaches and referees. In fostering the league's connection to the community, its teams, players and staff promote youth basketball, support local needs and interests, and assist in educational development through NBA D-League Cares programs. The NBA D-League also advances the game of basketball as the research and development arm of the NBA.
