Erie BayHawks News Release
ERIE - The Erie BayHawks (22-17) utilized a frustrating defense to keep the Sioux Falls Skyforce (20-19) off their game and win 96 - 88 in a very physical contest at the Tullio Arena, that saw the BayHawks extend their home winning streak to 3 games.
The Skyforce frustrations boiled over with four technical fouls being accessed, leading to a pair of ejections; Frank Williams in the third quarter and David Bailey in the fourth. Head Coach Nate Tibbetts also earned a T in the second quarter.
Maureece Rice earned adidas Player of the Game honors, leading all BayHawks scorers with 27 points. Erik Daniels chipped in 20 points in the winning effort. Kasib Powell led all Skyforce scorers with 20 points.
The BayHawks home stand continues next Friday night with a 7:00 PM tipoff against division rivals the Dakota Wizards. It's Erie Life Magazine night with prizes up for grabs throughout the evening and one lucky fan will win a car courtesy of Jay's Auto Wrecking. Tickets are available at the Tullio Arena box office.
