
BayHawks Add Cleveland Melvin

Erie, Pennsylvania, Wednesday, March 5 - The Erie BayHawks have claimed forward Cleveland Melvin from the free agent pool.
Melvin (6-8, 208, DePaul) played in 20 games with the Blue Demons this season prior to leaving the team. The senior averaged 16.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Following his sophomore season, he was named to the All Big East Honorable Mention squad. He garnered Big East Rookie of the Year honors after his freshman season.
Melvin will be eligible for the 2014 NBA Draft, making him ineligible for an NBA Call-Up for the remainder of this season.
The Baltimore native is expected to join the BayHawks this week.
