BayBears Walk-Off with 1-0 Win over Barons

Birmingham, AL - The Mobile BayBears snapped Birmingham's five-game winning streak with a walk-off 1-0 win in extra innings Wednesday in front of 842 fans at Hank Aaron Stadium.

Myles Jaye, making his first start against the BayBears since picking up the win in Game 5 of the 2013 Southern League Finals, took a no-decisionwhile allowing just three hits and scattering four walks over 5.0 scoreless IP.

Mobile starter Andrew Chafin matched Jaye pitch-for-pitch, scattering five hits and three walks and striking out six over 7.0 scoreless IP.

The game would remain scoreless into the 10th inning when Jake Lamb took reliever Parker Frazier (0-1, 3.52) deep with two-outs for awalk-off solo home run.

OF Trayce Thompson finished 1-for-4, extending his league-best hitting streak to 12 games. The Barons finished with just five hits on the night including one by rehabbing White Sox INF Gordon Beckham who finished 1-for-2 with a walk in three at-bats.

The Barons will look to pick up a series victory tomorrow night as LHP Scott Snodgress (0-1, 10.29) takes the hill against RHP Michael Lee (0-2, 6.55). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM CDT.
