Chattanooga, Ten. â The Mobile BayBears came from behind to defeat the Chattanooga Lookouts Saturday night, 3-2, in their four-game series opener. The come back made a winner out of starter Cory Stewart (2-2). Stewart threw six strong innings, allowing two runs on six base hits while striking out eight batters. Closer Rusty Tucker earned his sixth save of the season as worked a scoreless ninth inning, striking out two.
Mobile scored first in the second inning as catcher Humberto Quintero drove in Danny Bravo from second base with a single. The Lookouts tied the score at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth as third baseman Ed Encarnacion hit a solo homerun off of Stewart. The Lookouts went ahead 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth as Encarnacion scored a go-ahead run.
Stewart was lifted after the sixth, but the BayBears helped him out as they would retake the lead for good in the top of the seventh. Khalil Greene would then drive in Washington with the game-winning run run on a double of his own.
