MOBILE, AL â The BayBears open the gates at Hank Aaron Stadium Friday night for their seventh home opener. The Greenville Braves are in town for the weekend, as Mobile tries to turn around their 1-6 record.
Opening night will feature several events for the whole family. There will be a pre-game ceremony honoring United States service men, women and their families. Family members of local military personnel will take part in the ceremony as they received complimentary tickets from the BayBears.
Beginning at 6:15, Amy Kerr, the reigning Junior Miss, will also take part in pre-game ceremonies for the Mobile BayBears home opener. After riding in the parade during the sixth inning, she will lead the crowd in singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch. She will also be a special radio guest for the game broadcast.
Krazy Karachters, brought to you by BLP Mobile Paint, will be at "The Hank" entertaining fans young and old. There will also be a patriotic fireworks spectacular following the game sponsored by Southern Ford Dealers.
