BayBears End Three Game Skid

MOBILE, AL - The BayBears three game losing streak came to an end Friday, losing to Mississippi 8-2. Chris Kinsey (0-3) suffered the loss for Mobile, allowing five earned runs in six innings. Mississippi's Matt Harrison (3-0) was the winning pitcher, throwing six shutout innings for the Braves.

Mississippi scored their second run on the first of two home runs by left fielder Brandon Jones. His second home run of the game, and fourth of the season, went for three runs, and gave Mississippi a 6-0 lead in the fifth inning.

Mobile's two runs came in the seventh, on an RBI groundout by Chris Rahl and a wild pitch thrown by Mississippi's Charlie Morton. Mississippi added two in the top of the eighth on a two-run single by Diory Hernandez.

Carlos Gonzalez was the only BayBear with a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 with a double.
