Mobile BayBears News Release
JACKSON, Tenn. - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, scored a pair of runs in the second inning but gave up seven unanswered, falling to the Jackson Generals 10-2 Friday night at the Ballpark at Jackson.
After a three-run Jackson (48-43 overall, 9-13 second half) first inning, the BayBears (48-41, 11-10) responded with a pair of runs in the top of the second. Jose Rojas led off the frame with his team-high 12th home run. Zach Gibbons drove in his fourth of the series with a single later in the inning.
However, the Generals plated three runs in three different innings. Leading 4-2 in the seventh, Daniel Robertson hit a three-run double to put the game out of reach. Former BayBear Domingo Leyba added a two-run homer as part of a three-run eighth.
Justin Donatella (4-5) earned the win with a quality start. He gave up just two runs in 6 2/3 innings pitched. Donatella retired 11 straight batters from the fourth to the seventh. The BayBears only had one hit after the second inning.
Jason Alexander (0-3) settled in after allowing four early runs. He pitched five-plus innings and faced the minimum in three straight frames.

Right-handed pitcher Jeremy Beasley (1-0, 0.00 ERA) is scheduled to make the start against righty Joel Payamps (7-3, 3.17 ERA) for the Generals.
