Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA (May 27, 2008)- The Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings are encouraging all fans to wear black this Saturday night as the BattleWings host the defending ArenaCup Champion Tulsa Talons. Kickoff is set for 7:05PM at the CenturyTel Center.
"The Talons are coming in with a 17-game winning streak and we want our fans to be as loud as possible," said BattleWings' Head Coach Jon Norris. "We want the fans to make the CenturyTel Center rock as we take on a tough Talons team."
The BattleWings faced the Talons in Tulsa back in week six and held a nine point lead going into the fourth quarter before losing 57-43.
"When, not if, we beat the Talons, all fans will in attendance will receive a voucher good for a free ticket to either our June 7 or June 14 game," said BattleWings General Manager Butch Bellah. "This is the game where the crowd can really make a difference for us. We want the CenturyTel Center to be a sea of black-clad, noisy fans."
Saturday's contest will mark the second of four straight home games for the BattleWings.
