Battle Creek Prevails in OT, Improves to 6-0

Bay City, MI- In a thriller in Bay City, despite Luke Lloyd's running 35 footer at the fourth quarter buzzer, it was Kenny Langhorne, who had a team high 29, including seven in overtime as Battle Creek defeated Mid-Michigan 120-116. Battle Creek remains the only unbeaten team in the PBL at 6-0.

The other story of this game was the comeback by Mid-Michigan who were down 63-47 at the break. Mid-Michigan got themselves into the hole when Battle Creek went on a 10-2 run, but then after the intermission the Destroyers found their game going on an 8-1 run of their own as they cut the deficit to ten after three.

Battle Creek thought they had the game won, leading 106-98 with three and a half to go in regulation. Florentino Valencia's short jumper gave Battle Creek the lead, but then the defense fell apart as Mid-Michigan went on an 11-3 run which was finished off by Luke Lloyd's desperation three at the end of regulation.

In OT, it was the Kenny Langhorne show as he scored seven in the extra session, including a clutch free throw with 13 seconds to go that gave Battle Creek a four point victory.

Odgra Bobo lead all scorers for Mid-Michigan with 30; Marcus Skinner added 26. Bobo also pulled down 15 boards. For Battle Creek, Langhorne lead the team with 29 points and ten boards; Allen White had 19 and Rashii Johnson had 17.

Battle Creek is back in action on Saturday the 31^st as they travel to Detroit in a 7:00 Eastern Time start. Mid-Michigan, who is now 1-4 are in Chicago on Monday night.
