Battle Creek Knights News Release
Battle Creek, Michigan-Battle Creek Knights, member of the Premier Basketball League, are proud to announce the signings of Rashi Johnson and Coleco Blue, for the 2009 season.
Rashi Johnson, 6â2", guard, Michigan State University, "Rashi is a true leader, and a veteran with winning experience. Rashi really came into his own at the end of last season with the Knights. He has averaged 24 points and 6 assists. On top of his offensive skills, he is an excellent defender. We look for Rashi to have an outstanding season." said Knight head coach, Terry Sare.
Coleco Blue, 6'4", forward, Southwest Missouri State, "Coleco is the veteran of the team, and an outstanding leader. He has played in the CBA, ABA, PBL, and IBL. He helped the Elkhart Express of the IBL to two IBL Championships and three Conference Championships. Every team needs a veteran leader like Coleco. I have competed against him in the IBL for 4 years. It is nice to have him on our side. He does everything well on the basketball floor. He is one of those players that makes everybody around him better." said Terry Sare, Knights head coach.

Marked it on your calendar. Saturday, December 27th, the Knights will play a preseason contest against Mid-Michigan. Time and location to be determined.
The Battle Creek Knights home opener, Friday, January 2nd, at Kellogg Arena will be broadcast on the Michigan Regional Sports Network website, www.mrsn.us. Game time is 7 p.m. vs. the Chicago Throwbacks.
