Battle Creek Knights Round Out Coaching Staff

Battle Creek, Michigan- The Battle Creek Knights Professional Basketball Team announced the hiring of Walter Hall, Alonzo Littlejohn, Robert (Doc) Stevens, and Chris Gillette for our coaching staff in the inaugural season of International Basketball League action starting up on Saturday, April 9th vs. the Vancouver Volcanoes at Kellogg Arena.

Walter Hall is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and Western Michigan University Graduate School. Walt worked as a psychologist over 30 years at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek. Walt is currently the President/CEO of A-1 Basketball Recruits Scouting Service and publishes Eyes on Michigan Scouting Report quarterly magazine. "When I decided to accept the position as the Knights Head Coach. Walt was my first choice as assistant coach. I'm glad to be working with Walt again as coaches for the Battle Creek Knights," Knights head coach, Greg Williams, stated in regard to the hiring of Walter Hall.

Alonzo Littlejohn is a Jackson, Michigan native, and a Western Michigan University Hall of Fame athlete. Alonzo has over 50 years of Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) experience in track & field, and in basketball. Alonzo has trained many world class athletes in track & field, and basketball. Alonzo has worked with over forty former and current NBA players. "I consider Alonzo as family, and it's my pleasure and honor to have Alonzo as an assistant coach on my staff with the Battle Creek Knights," Knights head coach, Greg Williams, said of Alonzo Littlejohn‘s hiring.

Robert (Doc) Stevens is the godfather of athletic trainers. Doc Stevens has been an athletic trainer for over forty year. Doc has been a mentored to many trainers on a local, statewide, and national level. "The Battle Creek Knights are about family and being the best, and I consider Doc Stevens the glue that keeps it all together, said Knights head coach, Greg Williams, of the hiring of Doc Stevens.

Rounding out the Knights coaching staff is Chris Gillette as the strength and conditioning coach. "Chris Gillette's knowledge and experience as a strength and conditioning coach is a very important piece of the Battle Creek Knights puzzle, and I'm glad he's a part of our staff," Knights head coach, Greg Williams, commented on the hiring of Chris Gillette.
